This past Saturday (March 14th) I co-hosted my very first Baby Shower! What an thrill that was! My friends Carrie Bemis and Sarah Foerster helped with everything. Our theme/Colors were Brown and Blue (of course it was for a boy!) Sephia Pictures and Teddy Bears (The new Baby's Fathers nick-name growing up was Bear-so we had to tie it in!)
We wanted to stay away from cheesy uncomfortable games- so instead, we had a few dozen pictures placed around the room for all our guests to enjoy. We started with the birth of the mother-to-be, than it moved to the Birth of her first child Baylie and finally to Pregnant pictures of child #2 (a boy!) It stirred the guest of honor to tears along with her Mother and Mother in law and allowed for some wonderful memories to be shared!
We were blessed to offer our guest a catered lunch (sarah's sister ownes her own catering business!) along with some wonderful home-made desserts: Cheesecake w/strawberries, FUN-fetti cookies, and devils food Chocolate cake! (obviously women planned the dessert!) But it was all done in a "FINGER food" style...very tasty!
We received rave reviews for all our efforts from the guests!
It was a wonderful gift to give our dearly loved friend!
