The morning was sent on hands and knees ripping up layers of lenoleum (~4 we think) to scraping out mussy sub-floor. Than the boys put all new sub-floor in and poor Tyler had to climb up in the attic crawl space and push around all the old insulation to examine which walls were weight bearing. Once they figured it out they were able to take out TWO existing walls to than frame in our new kitchen bar! We will now be having some BEAUTIFUL existing beams framing in our kitchen. One will be running parallel with the kitchen, and one will run perpendicular with a beam intersecting them to bear the weight. Once they're stained it's going to be GORGEOUS! (You can see them in a few of the pictures) And our cabinets are being delivered on MONDAY!! YAHOO! ... though they won't be being installed for about another week and a half. That's all due to electrical and plumbing updates we'll be doing be. Anyways I look forward to sending you more pictures very soon! Tyler and I are getting very excited... it's starting to look REALLY REALLY nice!

Yes... that was once my kitchen- which I painted (by hand mind you =p ) with the best of my ability!!! We took out all the old cabinets and dry wall. Tyler's Dad (Brian for further reference) and Tyler were pros at making the mess while Pam and myself were used (and abused) as cheap labor!

The night couldn't have been complete without a garbage disposal (NASTY/STINKY water) shower on Tyler, a few bloody legs (2x), some black mold, SHADY wiring, and some OLD wet flooring! Whoever said sheet rock could hide the sins of a home is a Millionaire!!! Oh, YES.. we have a project ahead of us! Meals will be gladly excepted- for you see my kitchen is now in my living room!
